To mark the first anniversary of C:EHKO Hair Concepts last month, general manager Farshad Shafiekhani wanted to do something to honour the memory of his father.

“Farshad’s dad passed away from cancer during our grand opening last year, so we decided to produce a really special event called C:EHKO Hair Concepts Presents ‘In Memory of … ’ BC Cancer Fundraiser,” says Kylie Mattu, the salon’s studio manager. “It was held on November 1 at Terracotta Modern Chinese Restaurant in Gastown. Through ticket sales and a silent auction we were able to raise more than $5,000 for the BC Cancer Foundation.”
